According to a body language expert, singer Cheryl Cole wants to reunite with love rat husband/soccer star Ashley.
Judi James insists the 'Girls Aloud' beauty's move from bright and soft pastels to harsher black and grey clothes reveal her sorrow.
"When women are either ending their marriage or have been dumped by their partner, their normal response is usually the exact opposite to Cheryl's here," the Daily Star quoted James, as saying.
She added: "Most women get over their hurt by showing the guys what they are missing, which means dressing in a more attention-seeking way than usual.
"This means bright colours like red or yellow, and exaggerating their sexuality with figure-revealing outfits. We saw this with Toni Terry last month when she flaunted her figure in a bikini in Dubai.
"There's also often a significant display of alternative rings, wearing more jewellery to display the fact they are not mourning the loss of their wedding ring.
"But Cheryl has taken a different psychological path, and this does hint that some form of negotiation over her marriage could still be on the table."
James added: "Cheryl's look sends out several messages, some of which are muddled or conflicting.
"Her T-shirt which said: 'I Left My Heart in Beverly Hills' signals that the love is still there, she's just trying to reconnect with it.
"The choice of leather trousers and buttoned-up leather coats signals toughness and aggression, which might be the resilient, decisive, 'no going back' look she is trying to present.
"The zipped jacket with the harsh padded shoulders reinforce this idea."
James claims Cole's posture hints she is low in confidence.
She said: "Her hunched posture and her clinging gestures endorse this lack of confidence and self-esteem.
"Hiding behind huge sunglasses shows she's being hugely self-protective.
"She's often touching her stomach or looking at the floor while walking and this type of body language suggests fragility, which is used to seek out sympathy and help from other people."
"Her dead eyes are especially worrying," says Judi. "Cheryl has very big, expressive eyes and it would actually be better to see anger or upset in them.
"We're used to seeing her portraying emotion through her eyes when crying over contestants on The X Factor.
"This dead look suggests she's trying to cut herself off emotionally, which could lead to her feeling isolated and confused."
"The lack of rings is significant as there's no hint of any thoughts of a plan of moving on or a replacement for her wedding ring.
"You often see other rings being worn for this reason but bare ring fingers suggest the door could still be open for her wedding ring to be put back on again.
"Despite her sadness Cheryl seems to be battling her heartache in the one way she knows best."
Ashley Cole's extra marital affairs were exposed last month. (ANI)
